1. You are responsible for cancelling and updating all of your utility accounts and you had better make such efforts in advance of closing to ensure a smooth termination or registration of ownership.
It is also suggested that you obtain final meter readings for your hydro, gas and water. Please ensure that all bills are paid and that all accounts are up to date. Should you not pay your final bills, penalties and arrears could be charged to you by your supplier(s).
